Skyping with Joy and Hot Rods

Just a couple of my favorite things!!!!
Now if I was only a little better photographer.
I tried to get a photo of Joy but I kept getting a big old flash reflection, so unfortunately the best one is a really good photo of her cup of tea.

I continued to work on last year's Quilt Doodle BOM.
Slow and steady right???

I am slowly getting the new sewing room usable.
It is not organized by any stretch of the imagination but I can sew and I can see a bit of the floor!! Woo Hoo!!!

Don't look to far to the right or left!!!

It was a busy weekend.
I am working backwards here.
Joy and I sewed at around 7:30 pm, Virginia time, bright and early Australia time.
Before sewing we went to the Hot Rod show at the convention center.
Oh don't we wish we had kept and babied all the old cars we had when we were youngens???
I am a Mustang girl

Hubby is a Camaro man

and the boy is a Corvette guy

Couldn't find an orange Corvette! Not sure why I picked that color up there.
Must be the new red, because there were lots of orange cars there.
The guys had fun:

Which is good because while I was having fun with Joy, they were outside working on the new shed. Photos for another day!
Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

Half a Snow Day!!!

Most of the U.S. is probably tired of snow, but we finally got our first real batch yesterday afternoon.
We got around 7 inches. I know--that is nothing compared to New England, but it is more than most people around here can handle.
I believe the news mentioned over 1000 traffic "incidents."

This was heading out to work this morning with plans of opening 2 hours later than normal.

And this was 5 hours later after a grand total of 2 customers.

Home again, home again jiggidy slippery jig!

Somewhere under that pile of snow, the spring bulbs had already started to bust out of the ground.  Probably had something to do with the 70 degree weather we had the other day.
And speaking of...
We had really high winds the other night and woke up to this...

It broke the fence as well and the tree is not standing up too straight but the good news is that it was all the garden stuff and not the one with the lawnmowers and other tools.
And it was going to get replaced anyway--just not right now.
We are busy doing inside things like all things organizing.
Like my new pantry:

Isn't it pretty????
It is sort of hard to get a zoomed out view because we have used up every bit of space.
Including the wall behind the door...

I haven't finished filling this up yet, but I will get there.

So, snowy night and we have all worked very hard this week.
Time for relaxing!

Next time--the beginnings of organization of the sewing room.
A seriously slow work in progress.
